On February the 28th, as part of EYFS programme, our Year 1 students visited the Museum of Electric Public Transport. The students not only saw the visual changes of a tram's construction over the past 155 years, but they explored the inside of a horse-tram 'Konka", as well as the first electric trams and trolleybuses. Now we know how trams rode on the frozen surface of the Neva River, how many horses it took to pull horse-trams, why traveling by trolleybus was 4 times more expensive than by tram, and what it means to “compile a ticket”! At the end of the tour, everyone could ride on the old tram that has been operating for 85 years!
