On March 18, we had a full day field trip to The Tsarskoye Selo. This excursion was timed to the 220th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin. Year 3, 4, 5 students visited the Lyceum in Tsarskoye Selo.
Our students not only learned about the history of the founding of the Lyceum and the peculiarities of studying in it, they were able to immerse themselves in the life of the first-set of lyceum students. They also immersed themselves in the life of young Pushkin. What books did students read? What kind of magazines did they publish? How did they joke? What marks did they get? In which rooms did they live for six years of their life? And how was the strongest, priceless friendship of the most talented young men of Russia of the 19th century formed?
A visit to the Lyceum did not leave our students indifferent, having touched history, everyone realized that even two centuries later, true friendship could begin precisely within the walls of the school!
